Alex is a Brisbane-based analyst specialising in maritime security and naval force posture. He has covered the evolution and new developments of the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) for Naval News and written on major Royal Australian Navy programs. Since 2025 he has also contributed to the German defence publication Hartpunkt on Indo-Pacific security developments.
