RUSIQ President Andrew Kirby met with Deputy Premier Jarrod Bleijie MP to discuss Queensland’s growing role in Australia’s defence industry and strategic capability.
With Queensland playing an increasingly important role in Australia’s defence industry and strategic capability, it was a timely opportunity to discuss how government, Defence, industry and academia can work together around the strategic questions that underpin capability, investment and national security.
As Australia’s strategic environment becomes more demanding, the places where serious defence and national security conversations happen — and the communities that sustain them — matter more than ever.
As part of the RUSI network — one of the world’s longest-standing defence and security research communities — RUSI Queensland provides a space for those conversations, uniting policymakers, practitioners and thought leaders.
